New Zealand Grown!
Currently in New Zealand, a large portion of our herbs are imported from overseas. A handful of small farms grow their own herbs for their own product range. There is a company that imports bulk dried herbs to sell, with a small selection grown themselves. Suffice it to say, the supply of locally grown herbs is small. I aim to increase the NZ range of locally grown bulk herbs. All my herbs are grown by me, on the Wairarapa Eco Farm.
Organic History!
The Wairarapa Eco Farm has a long history of organic growing, with over 25 years of organic certification under its belt. This small farm is all about natural Biodynamic farming for quality production over quantity (Agroecological Farming). We focus on diversity in the garden to generate health in the environment and soil. When the soil is healthy, you grow healthy plants, healthy plants that can, in turn, support your health.

Hi, my name is Sanne, and I have been working on the Wairarapa Eco Farm since 2013. When I started working on the farm, we were growing Organic produce for 100+ families, they would all receive a fruit & vegy box a week. The garden taught me a lot, practically and observationally. Like just how incredibly abundant nature really is! and so resilient!
Frank tought me the theory I needed to understand processes I was witnessing. He always said that to do anything without an understanding could unwittingly couse more harm then good. Its like the story about teaching the guy to fish becouse you understand that handing him a fish only feeds him for a day. He’s still going to go hungry tomorrow, and you taught him to keep begging.
I believe it’s time to be part of a culture that does a thing out of a greater understanding, so that we may come into symbiosis with Gaia. For this reason, I take an Alchemical approach to my gardens, plants and processing. While I no long grow vegetables, I can carry over all the principles and practical experience I gained to grow an abundant, healthy variety of herbs just for you!
Healthy gardens can support healthy people. These healthy herbs would love nothing better then to support you!

By growing my own plants, I know and trust their quality. I bring my costs down by growing naturally; So that I can close loops, taking advantage of nature’s free ecosystem services. Therefore, I grow inherent vitality and abundance naturally. So that you have access to herbal health, vitality and balance.
This also allows me to live and work myself into greater symbiosis with Gaia. I take an Alchemical Approach to my gardens, plants and processing.
